Sadhana Arts is a UK organisation dedicated to preserving, developing and promoting the rich tradition of Indian classical music. Our roots go back to 2003, built around education, live performance and the continuation of an extraordinary cultural tradition. We bring together world-class maestros, globally recognised names, emerging artists, students and audiences - creating a bridge between heritage and the future. This is not simply about staging concerts; it is about building a living platform where knowledge is actively learned, performed, shared and passed forward.

Lineage & Parampara At the heart of Indian classical music is parampara - the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next. Lineage carries far more than compositions and technique; it carries interpretation, discipline, history, values and the individual wisdom of great teachers. Sadhana Arts brings world-leading maestros and globally recognised names into this teaching and development journey. Their presence raises standards, inspires students and gives the next generation direct contact with the living source of the tradition. This teaching pathway naturally leads into mid to large-scale concerts, where students and emerging artists see the highest level of performance and, over time, can grow toward those stages themselves.

Track Record & Calibre of Artists Our platform has welcomed and celebrated globally recognised artists and masters of the tradition. In 2024, Sadhana Arts hosted international artists for masterclasses, workshops and tabla recitals. In 2025, Parampara honoured the legacy of Ustad Zakir Hussain. In 2026, the platform featured Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia and Pt. Yogesh Samsi. The objective is not simply to present major names, but to bring that calibre of artist into the teaching, mentoring and development journey for students and emerging UK based musicians.

Partnering for the Future Sadhana Arts has reached the point where the next phase requires an organisation equal to the ambition of the artistic mission. We are now seeking funding and philanthropic support to move from a successful grassroots platform to a professionally resourced institution with the people, programmes, facilities and governance needed for long-term impact. The leadership at the helm combines commitment to Indian classical music with experience across investment banking, private equity, business building and structured execution. Those skills are being applied with humility and discipline: to build robust governance, responsible financial management, measurable outcomes and an organisation capable of stewarding support over the long term. This programme will enable Sadhana Arts to: • Identify and develop the next generation of talent, protecting lineage by connecting promising students directly with leading maestros and teachers. • Increase the concert programme to approximately 3-5 high-quality concerts each year, creating a consistent platform for masters, emerging artists and audiences. • Expand Shibirs, workshops and masterclasses by bringing A-list, globally recognised artists to the UK to teach, mentor and perform. • Establish a dedicated foundation for Indian classical music with structured, curriculum-led courses that complement the traditional guru-shishya and parampara model. • Develop a dedicated venue for teaching, workshops, rehearsals, community activity and selected concerts - creating a permanent home for the work. • Expand school and community education, scholarships and bursaries so that access is based on commitment and potential, not only ability to pay. • Build and hire the professional organisation required across programme delivery, fundraising, partnerships, operations, marketing and governance. • Continue to place human development at the centre: focus, discipline, confidence, wellbeing, belonging and excellence through music. This is a growth programme built around cultural preservation, education and institutional capability. The funding is intended to create the infrastructure that allows artistic excellence to be sustained, measured and passed forward.

A Human Art in an AI Age Technology can support administration, access and learning resources, but it cannot replace the human core of Indian classical music: the relationship between teacher and student, the sensitivity of accompaniment, the discipline of practice, the spontaneity of improvisation or the emotional exchange between artist and audience. A leading artist does more than perform notes. A maestro transmits judgement, timing, touch, character, tradition and lived experience. That transmission is personal.
